The Beginning
On Valentine’s day, 2025, the Trump administration chose to lay off thousands of federal workers. We all know community members who were deeply effected. We saw effective organization and protests in Montana’s state capital, and knew it was our job to do something locally. We planned a rally March 9th in Missoula where over 1000 Montanans attended and marched to Bear Tracks Bridge, feeling unity, hope, and joy. If you attended this event, you felt the energy, and we hope that you stay tuned for our next moves.

Continuing Efforts
After the rally, we knew we had momentum, and we knew our community was hungry for more. We have been hard at work building out or organization structure, and are hosting more events in the community to continue along the thread we first pulled: in-person relationship building, getting people in the same room, and mutual aid and worker resources. We can build off of each other’s energy and accomplish big things against tall odds.
